Office Hours Tel: +52 (612) 145-1061 Patricia founded Planeacion en Marketing (PlanMarketing) at the beginning of 2006 with MNI/Time Warner. PlanMarketing offers tourism trade expertise in marketing tourism for destinations, hotels, and real estate in Mexico and Latin America. MNI, the targeted advertising division of Time Inc., allows you to target exactly the prospects you’re looking for, in exactly the markets you need.
Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Patricia earned her degree in Tourism Business Administration in Mexico, and studied 5 languages for three years in Europe. From 1981 to 1998 she worked for the Mexico Tourism Council, later the Mexico Ministry of Tourism. She was responsible for the international public relations and advertising, including supervision of crisis management in tourism image campaigns, earning several prizes from HSMAI (Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International) for these activities. Besides coordinating air transportation and international press in Mexico’s trade shows, she prepared most of the public bids for the international marketing campaigns.
Patricia then joined the American Express Company (Mexico) as Business Destination Manager, where her roll was crucial for the acceptance of the AMEX “Official Card Program” by some of the most important Mexican destinations. While at American Express, Patricia was invited to be a founding member of the Mexico Tourism Board. For two years, she managed all tourism-related international advertising, public relations, direct marketing, and events for the federal government of Mexico. At the end of 2001, she left government to learn the other side of the advertising business, by representing some of the most important media, such as MNI/Time Warner, The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, The Dallas Morning News, Outside, Outside Go, Trader Monthly, and Dealmaker magazines. Patricia now has her own representation/marketing company, Planeacion en Marketing.
